LaLa ADDICTION!!!

I am so addicted to Copics and LaLa Land stamps! I feel as if Marci and Luca are part of the family already!

The funny thing is I never, i mean NEVER colored until CHA summer! LaLa's own, Irina took the time and "tried" to teach me!!! Poor thing....I can not even count the times she said "your brain is not processing it right!". I thought then and there Sharon was going to pee herself! I did not give up and look at what I can do!!! It is by no means professional but i LOVE it!

Summer Update....

September 1 already? I can honestly say I am ready for summer to be over. I have traveled so much this summer I am ready to be a homebody for a bit....(shhh 3 weeks til my next trip!!)

So where have i been?

June: Great American Scrapbook Convention in Virginia with my side kick Sharon...no pics from this trip! It was a real fast one...we left late in the afternoon, set up the next day, 2 days of shows and then straight back! I had to get back to decorate for a graduation party, we actually worked on the table top decorations in the hotel room....no rest for the wicked!

July:

Disney.....if you know me at all you know i am a Disney junkie...I took the girls plus 2 guests to Disney for a week! We drove...which was actually not so bad. I would do it again...love this pic of Bailey looking at the Mad Hatter....

so the day after i got home from Florida it was off to CHICAGO!

i was honestly not planning on attending this year...but i now understand how an addict feels...

i had to go....i love CHA!

I love seeing all the new product, buying all the new product and more than anything....

Seeing old friends! See you in sunny CA in January for our birthday dinner Kristopher....

no excuses this time!!

I love to create good things! I usually only scrap for myself when i am completely stressed or on my annual 4 day trip with my lovely friends (which is coming up soooo soon!!! wooohoo!) but lately i have been trying to practice what i preach...."you need to make time! schedule it like an appointment!" So with that in mind i made an appointment a couple times last week!

I was voted the best mom and aunt labor day 2010....i dared to take 5 kidlings to the zoo! We had a great time! Baby polar bear, monkies, funnel cakes and slushies...nothing better!

Summer Vacation 2010

What a trip! ALOT of walking, sweating and waiting! we had fun though! It was nice to go on vacation with my parents, I can not remember the last time that was! I am sure this will be the last for them!! waiting for 7 other people to get ready in the morning is not there norm, they are usually up by 4 and out the door by 6! We were doing good if everyone ate BEFORE the breakfast bar closed at 10am!!!

I will share more later, my home Internet connection is slooooooooooow!

New Addiction!!!!

Oh, it is not easy for me to say "you were right!" but when i do I can say it with a smile! So......Kristopher....."you were right!" I broke out the Silhouette and have discovered I have another addiction.....Here is some of our wonderful creations. I had the help of Maya & Addison. (yes, so easy a 4 year old can do it!)

This is Maya...she makes her first communion next week. She had to make this banner for her big day. It will be on display on the pew during mass. The assignment was to create a banner with her likes and interests included. The peace sign is a perfect Maya touch! We created it using heat transfer and the Silhouette!

Here is my creation. As soon as I spotted this pillow in the store, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!

The best for last.....sweet Addison. So happy with her purple cow! We cut it out of vinyl and adhered it to her pink wall, right under the Princess sign! Impressed with Maya's banner she wanted to create a cow shirt? She loves it! So fun to create stuff with these beauties!

Do you have a Silhouette? If not I highly recommend it! I even know where you can purchase one!!!

I am sure there are alot of you out there including my ever so patient hubby who thinks i play all day....oh how i wish!!! Well this weekend I was lucky enough to play all day with my friends! I attended a 2 day crop and the best time! Thanks girls! (no, this was not a Scrap Happy crop, just incase you might have thought you missed something) Here is a little of what I created!

Happy 8th birthday Maya! A month late? I know I always ask "where does the time go" but seriously where does the time go? 8 years ago I was blessed with my second daughter, my "lavendar" baby! Today you are excited to be learning to write in cursive!

The first picture is our birthday tradition...cupcakes!!! One day while shopping at Wal Mart(yes, Joanne I was at Wal Mart!!) I came accross this cupcake book, so every year the girls pick out a cupcake to create....well for me to create!

She's 4! Yes, Dear Addison who was stil in an infant carrier when the store opened is now 4 years old! Looks are deciving with this little girl....she looks like her oldst sister Bailey but acts just like Maya!!! imagine that!

OK- So I know what blogs are, I guess i just look at mine differnetly. For me it is alot easier than a journal, one that i share but i do not really think about that part.Plus, i can just log in, i have a problem finding things!!! I like the thought of having somewhere to go and look at all the things i was either thinking., feeling or doing.

I have a list of blogs in my favorites: 1 of my many favs are of coarse Rachel, my queens of scrapland, Amy, Marie, layle(can't wait till the class in September!!!!),Stephanie(thanks for the new company update....it is on its way!!!) and Ali(she makes me want to have another baby, they just grow up tooo fast!!!)

I have a question though for all you bloggers....
*what's up with all the freebies? I know there are lots looking for something for free but to have 4 out 5 posts linking other blogs with give-a-ways? I guess i do not see it.

*Do you think it is OK to post pictures & layouts of children who are not your own? how about if you took the pictures?

I seem to be asking myself this alot lately.....

I love what I do & would not change it for the life of me but I am tired!!!

I have super supportive husband, 3 girls....2 of which are starting to love helping their mom....i bribe them with scrapping supplies!!! The best part is when we are done we make a pack to scrap...they are so amazing.....One of my MANY goals is to start an online gallery with there work-they love going to the scrap happy home page and seeing the pages of them!!!

PLUS, i have super friends!!! You are there when i need to vent...it is so nice to have friends who are just friends, no drama!!! I have battled with cutting the drama out of my life for the last few months and after stepping back i am completely amazed how the true friends i have are real. No drama!!! Just fun!! yeah, we have moments but true friends can say "hey, sorry i was just having a bad day, here's your magazine back...." Each have there own personalities, just like me but i do believe as you grow as friends you realize "so, what" that person is still a part of my life and i would not change them for anything!!! Ok-starting to ramble.....thanks girls, i would not be who i am without your unconditional support!!!

What to do.....

OK- this week is flying by so quickly. the weekend is almost here and for the first time in 6 years i have 1 whole day to myself...no kids(at a st pat's party) no husband(bowling tourn)...what am i going to do? It feels really weird, I have no plans, i can do whatever i want. now i just have to decide????

I can paint the bathroom
I can go to Target all by myself
I can Scrap...of coarse!!
I can do whatever I want!!!

But what should I do?

organize my scrap room
paper work

i'll let you know....any suggestions?

Kangaroos in Ohio?

Did you know we have kangaroos in Ohio? Yes, I know we do not but my 3 year old is sure that the neighbors dog is a kangaroo!!!

here is an Addison story.....(i wish i would have had a blog 12 years ago when i had bailey, then Maya....i could have told MANY funny stories, now i can not even remember to make sure my shoes match!!!!)

OK, back to the story....When we headed out for the day, I forgot the back pack so i had Addy wait in the garage. Here she came, screaming "it's gonna get me" my response "what?" Addi: "the kangaroo" after looking outside and spotting the neighbors dog, i let her know it was a dog, not a kangaroo. Insisting that the kangaroo has black stripes and is a kangaroo i embrace it. we have kangaroos in Ohio, they are little for a short time, i need to enjoy it more.

Who would have thought? My kids are huge swimmers, so come winter they are itching to get in the water!

Ron's brother Kevin (who finally moved back from Mississippi, Thank heaven!!!) & his family were kind enough to invite us to Kalahari in Sandusky for a night of water park fun! The girls loved it! Bailey invited our 4th daughter, Abby along. Ethen & Carter tagged along for the ride too. 6 kids! We survived!

Here are a few pics from our Christmas...they are from oldest to youngest. Bailey, 10 was the hardest for Santa to buy for(she knows Santa is not real) Maya,6 is not the easiest either since she is only 6 and had everything a 16 year old would want on her list but the baby, Addison 2 is easy, anything pink, princess or baby(alot like her momma!) The hardest part of the whole Santa spending spree was trying to control Ron. If you think you know Ron, you all are wrong. He is the softy in this family, he just tries to act tough!!!

No pics of me but this Christmas was a first for me...Ron took the girls out to buy my gift, they went to a jewelry store, a REAL one to be exact(That was the first thing Maya told me when I got home that night) thanks Ron!

I would have started another thing to put on my to-do list! I have been spending alot of time trying to organize my scrapbooking stuff for a weekend retreat I have coming up in January and can not remember details for the life of me! So with that in mind I thought it would be a great new year's resolution to start this for the sake of my daughters! i am sure some day they will enjoy all the little details I have remembered or at least I hope they do!

This is a separate blog just for me - no Scrap Happy....that has its own! There should be a link...if i did it right?
